Miss Yasmin Ismail
Miss Yasmin Ismail is a dual trained Consultant Plastic Surgeon in Dublin with over 17 years of experience in Plastic Surgery and on the Specialist Register for Plastic Surgery in Ireland (Irish Medical Council) and the UK (General Medical Council).
After completion of preregistration training, an anatomy demonstratorship was undertaken at Guy’s, Kings’s and St Thomas’s hospital in 2000 followed by Basic Surgical Training in Bristol and London including a short period in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. A clinical research post in Plastic surgery was completed in 2004 and a Higher Surgical Training post competitively awarded by the Mersey Deanery. Further 5 years of registrar training were completed at the acclaimed Canniesburn Plastic Surgery Unit in Glasgow. FRCS[Plast] examination was completed in 2012 with entry to the Specialist Register.
Further subspecialist training fellowships were undertaken after completion of training at the leading Christie Cancer Hospital in Manchester and the highly competitive Mentor Aesthetic Fellowship completed at King Edward VII Hospital in Central London and Harley Street.
Miss Ismail has been actively involved in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate trainee surgeons in Plastic Surgery. She has played a role as an undergraduate medical school examiner [OSCE] at University College, Dublin and University of Glasgow. Appointment as a GMC Associate was made in 2019. Current role involves teaching medical students and surgeons in training.
Current interests include surgical treatment of all forms of skin cancer, perineal & gynaecology reconstruction, trauma, General Plastic Surgery and cosmetic surgery.
